Over the last 10 years or so, Hyundai has been able to change its image, turning from a forgettable

 inexpensive econobox manufacturer to a real challenger in the market that can compete 

 with the major manufacturers. The business is attempting to resurrect interest in compact pickup 

with the 2022 Santa Cruz, something that several other manufacturers have attempted and failed to achieve.

They employ a similar unibody structure to the bigger Honda Ridgeline, and they directly

 the impending Ford Maverick, but other from that, they occupy a somewhat distinct market niche.
